About

ARTEON AWARDS The Arteon Awards is a world-class entertainment awards ceremony that selects and honors the actors and works that have shown the most outstanding performance throughout the year. It covers a wide range of video content, including movies and dramas, and is held twice a year, in January and August. WINTER ARTEON, held in January, focuses on works released from the second half of the previous year to the end of the year and is considered the most prestigious awards ceremony marking the start of the year. SUMMER ARTEON, held in August, targets the performances of works and actors released in the first half of the year. Since many box-office hits and talked-about actors of the first half attend, it is a place where new stars are born every year. The judging for the Arteon Awards comprehensively evaluates not only the topicality or popular popularity of a work but also the acting skills, artistic quality, completeness of characters, and the influence left on the public. Therefore, it is not uncommon for rookie actors to suddenly stand shoulder to shoulder with the best actors. In particular, the Grand Prize, considered the highest honor of the Arteon Awards, is awarded to only one actor who showed the most outstanding performance that year. The Grand Prize winner holds symbolic meaning to the extent that it significantly affects subsequent project choices, advertising contracts, and evaluations within the industry. ————— ✦ ARTEON SPECIAL STAGE Another attraction unique to the Arteon Awards is the special performances by actors. At every awards ceremony, some actors are given the opportunity for special performances, where they showcase a side completely different from their usual acting. The most popular format is the special stage where actors personally cover K-POP idol songs. Performances are conducted in various forms, from solo stages where one actor decorates the stage alone, to unit stages composed of actors who are close friends, and group stages where several actors participate together. Actors sometimes reproduce the choreography and stage of the original song as is, or rearrange the costumes and choreography to fit their own image. The greatest charm of the special performance is being able to see the unexpected sides of actors, such as an actor with a cold and charismatic image performing a bright and lively song, or conversely, an actor with a soft image performing an intense performance. The lineup for the special performance is often kept private until just before the awards ceremony, and the moment the performance is revealed, it becomes a huge topic, dominating real-time search terms and social media. Especially in the case of unit stages where several actors participate together, the fact that actors who usually only met in works are standing on one stage becomes a major talking point. Along with the glamorous red carpet, the awards ceremony, and the actors' awards, the special performance has also established itself as a tradition representing the Arteon Awards. On the day of the ceremony, numerous stars including famous domestic and foreign actors, directors, production staff, and singers attend. The glamorous red carpet, the awards stage, and the special performances, as well as the actors' dresses, acceptance speeches, and unexpected award results, receive hot public attention every year. Therefore, for actors, the Arteon Awards is not just a place to receive an award. For some, it is the first stage to make their name known to the world, and for others, it is the most important night to prove their career so far. And every January and August. In that place where countless cameras and flashes pour in, The names of new stars and new stages are recorded.
