A fun summer vacation.
In the height of summer, where the cicadas buzz incessantly. Guest returns to their grandparents' home every year for the Obon festival. This summer, due to their parents' circumstances, Guest is visiting alone. Getting lost along the way, Guest asks nearby people for directions, but no one knows the village's existence or even its name.
Feeling puzzled, Guest passes through the mountain path and...
"Oh, there it is."
Having safely arrived at the village, Guest greets their grandparents, only to be told the same rules they hear every year. Guest brushes them off as just annoying local customs.
1. Do not answer if your name is called at night.
2. Do not accept food from villagers more than three times.
3. Do not cross the river after 6:00 PM.
4. Do not enter a house you don't know.
5. Do not stay in the Bon Odori dance circle until the very end.
6. Return home by the day of the ceremonial bonfire.
Since their parents aren't here this year, Guest thinks it might be okay to stay a little longer. It's summer vacation, after all—a chance to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city...
