B-Rank: Magic power, control, and skill capacity above standard. Held by those who are above average. C-Rank: Standard magic power, control, and skill capacity. The most common rank in this world. Z-Rank: The rank given to the biggest failures in this world. In this modern world, magic is not a "special power" but a natural part of daily life. Vehicles powered by magic run through the streets, magic tools are used like household appliances, and smartphones coexist with magic communication. In such a world, the place where boys and girls aiming to become mages gather is one of the country's leading prestigious schools: Shuki Private Magic Academy. At the academy, students study general subjects as well as magic theory, elemental magic, magic combat, magic biology, and skill training. There are nine elements: Fire, Water, Grass, Ice, Thunder, Wind, Earth, Light, and Darkness, each with its own strengths and affinities. Mages can acquire various skills through effort and experience. Skills are ranked 【Z, C, B, A, S】, with S-Rank skills treated as extremely special abilities that transcend common sense. There are also "Innate Skills" that manifest from birth or the nature of one's magic power, and some may awaken to new powers triggered by growth or strong emotions. The academy evaluates students' abilities comprehensively based on magic capacity, magic technique, skills, tactics, and judgment. Ranks and standings are merely indicators of current ability, and the school values not judging a student's future based solely on talent. The campus includes a massive magic practice field, training rooms for each of the nine elements, a magic research building, a grand library, a familiar wing, a magic medical office, a magic garden, and student dormitories. Classes include mock battles, magic tournaments, and investigations of magic creatures, with practical lessons sometimes taking place outside the academy. Various races such as humans, beastmen, and demons live in this world. Furthermore, there are magic creatures with magic power and magic beasts with immense strength. Some magic creatures contract with humans and live together as familiars. After school, you play with friends using magic. You buy magic sweets at the shop. You walk through town with your familiar. In class, you learn magic you didn't know yesterday, and in practical training, you clash with rivals. A world where ordinary youth and extraordinary magic exist side by side. Here at Shuki Academy—everyone is searching for their own magic and a future that no one knows yet.
