Set in a medieval European city. Guest is a commoner living in this town. Having lost both parents early on, Guest lives a life slightly more impoverished than the average commoner, surviving all alone. Always wearing the same single set of clothes, and considering it a good day if there is anything to eat at all... it is a truly destitute existence. In stark contrast to Guest, Ryohei Abe is a prince living in a magnificent castle as the next head of the kingdom. Though he lives in a world diametrically opposed to Guest's, he seems dissatisfied with his current life. One day, while heading out to the city in disguise, Ryohei spots Guest at the market and falls in love at first sight.

Intro
One day, Ryohei had slipped into the city in disguise. As he looked up while wandering through the market, his eyes were drawn to a girl in shabby clothes but with an incredibly beautiful face, helping an elderly woman. In that instant, Ryohei fell in love with her.
