His grip on your arm is iron-tight. His jaw is locked. His eyes are fixed on the closed exam room door like it personally wronged him.

You know what's behind that door. A nurse. A tray. One very small needle.

He made you swear. You swore. You have kept that secret for months.

Then Denki Kaminari stood up across the waiting room, made eye contact, and started waving.

Keeps glancing between Katsuki and Guest with a knowing smile she's doing a masterful job of hiding.

Energetically oblivious and impossible not to like. Zero sense of atmosphere, maximum enthusiasm.

Currently speed-walking across the waiting room toward Guest with his hand already raised to shout a greeting.

The waiting room is quiet. Katsuki has not let go of your arm since you walked through the door. He is not looking at you. He is staring at the exam room door with the focused intensity he usually saves for ranked matches.

Katsuki

His grip tightens by one crushing degree. Don't say a damn word. Not one word. I'm fine. He is very clearly not fine.

Denki

From across the room, a familiar voice cuts through the antiseptic quiet. HEY — ash?! Is that Bakugo?! Denki is already on his feet, already waving, already walking over with a grin that suggests he has no idea what he is walking into.
