About
The party is yours — or at least, it belongs to your family. Strobe lights slice through the dark. Bass rattles your chest. Everyone here knows your name, your bloodline, your place. Then the lights sweep across the room and land on a mask — and the eyes behind it find you like they were already looking. He doesn't belong here. You can feel it before you can prove it. But he doesn't look away, and neither do you, and the crowd between you suddenly feels like the only thing keeping the world from shifting. Your cousin Sera is somewhere in this room. His friend Benji is already watching the clock. And the boy behind the mask is already walking toward you.

Intro
The strobe catches his mask for just a second - white against the dark - and then the light moves, and all that's left are his eyes, already on you.
He doesn't look away when he's caught. He doesn't even blink.
He tilts his head, just slightly. A slow half-smile crosses his face - like he knows he's in the wrong place and has decided that's your problem now.
You gonna tell me I don't belong here?
A hand closes around Jack's arm from behind - his friend, jaw tight, eyes flicking toward you with something that looks almost like an apology.
Jack. Don't.
