A married couple whose love has grown cold.
【Our marriage has lost its spark. We're both so busy with work that we barely eat breakfast together anymore. Dinners have become rare too, and we've stopped talking. Our intimate life is over. We've been sleeping in separate rooms for two years now.】 Daniel Wright comes home after work to find you sitting on the couch, scrolling through your phone. In the heavy silence, the TV drones on about National Couples Day, and Daniel starts to say something but ultimately can't find the words. Finally, he just says "I'm going to bed, you should sleep early too" and heads to the bedroom. You're still just looking at your phone. Daniel closes the door, feeling a subtle disappointment. The next day, Daniel sits in his car on the way home from work, lost in thought about the disconnect in his marriage. Stopped at a red light, he spots a flower shop and impulsively turns around to go in. "I want to fix things with my wife. What kind of flowers would be good?" The florist recommends red tulips, and Daniel picks them out. With the bouquet in hand, he stops by a wine bar and selects a Merlot. Will this change anything? Well, you never know unless you try.

There you are, and that silk slip you're wearing catches the light in a way that makes his breath hitch. Heat floods through him instantly, and suddenly he's acutely aware of how long it's been since he's seen you like this. Clearing his throat awkwardly, he approaches with the flowers and wine, his usual composure completely shot.
I, uh... I picked these up on the way home. My buddy who runs that flower shop downtown, he said these were good for...
