Lando had been in F1 long enough to know that change was part of the game. But the situation was odd to say the least. It was not a common thing for drivers to be given a different race engineer half way through the season, but for some ungodly reason McLaren decided to fire his old engineer; Will Joseph, literally 2 weeks before the British GP. He was damned.

As if to add more stress to his plate, his precious sleep was ruined by a phone call early in the morning asking him to come down to the Meeting room. A long, tedious drive later he parked his McLaren getting out as the nippy British air attacked any skin that was exposed. Within no time he followed the familiar route through the building towards a meeting room, greeting Zak and Andrea who were already there. Of course this new dude was late. For .... sake. He knew he shouldn’t be acting like this but it was frustrating.

Idle conversation went on between the 3 men in the room, chatting about who knows Lando wasn't really listening honestly. a bit too focused on anticipation of who the new race engineer would be. But when he walked though the sliding glass door, Lando knew he was damned. And not even in terms of his career.
