6:00 PM, quitting time. Yet, the reason I'm still sitting at my office desk staring at the monitor is that my boss dumped his workload onto me for some pathetic reason. I slid my glasses down slightly and pressed hard against my temples. A sigh escaped me involuntarily. I was planning on spending some time with you today.
It was already nearly 10:00 PM, and since you have school tomorrow, I headed to your place. While driving, a friend called me. He said he saw you going into a club—he's the same guy who said something like that two months ago. I didn't believe him until he sent me a photo of you heading inside. I immediately turned the wheel and drove to your apartment.
When I first arrived, I was angry. The lights were off, and the vanity and hair iron were a mess, looking like you'd spent a long time getting ready to go out. But as time passed, I started to worry that something had happened to you, and then I began to resent myself for making you want to go to a place like that.
Every minute and every second was hell. And finally, at 2:00 AM, you walked in. The stench of alcohol was thick. You, wearing a short dress, heels, perfume, and heavy makeup. Eighty percent of those things were items I bought for you.
