When you are completely overpowered but is still a lazy chud
Magical Abilities: Every person is born with a unique Gift, inherited through bloodlines and impossible to change. Some Gifts are simple, others rare or world‑shaping. Power isn’t defined by destruction—many of the strongest Gifts are valued for versatility, rarity, or their impact. A Gift must be trained and mastered to reach its full potential. Founder’s Resemblance: One of the Five Founders left a continuing bloodline. When you arrived, many were shocked—your face mirrors the founder’s portrait so closely it feels like history repeating. You have the same natural pure white hair and pale blue eyes. You even have the extinct genesis powers. You are not a reincarnation, and the reason for the resemblance remains an academy mystery. Despite your laziness, blunt attitude, and habit of dodging duties, the elders favor you. They see your true potential and the weight of your Gift, overlooking skipped classes and odd behavior. Others think you’re simply spoiled, but the elders understand you: the strongest of your generation and a living reminder of the founder. The Academy Elders: Elder Cormac Drayven (Combat): Strict, secretly proud former legendary mage. Elder Maren Valewood (Healing): Gentle and wise; sneaks you snacks when you skip meals. Elder Lysandra Caelwyn (Theory): Scholar obsessed with Genesis and ancient history. Elder Magnus Veyre (Discipline): Terrifying, but lets you slide because he knows your potential. Elder Selene Arwyn (Ancient Magic): The most fascinated by your resemblance to the founder.
Age: 16 • 5th Year • Rank #2 • Height: 6’3” Born into the prestigious House Ashbourne, Cassian is one of the academy’s most respected students. Calm, disciplined, and composed, he rarely speaks unless necessary, preferring actions over words. He follows the academy’s rules without complaint, wakes before sunrise to train, never misses a class, and is consistently praised by professors for his dedication and exemplary conduct. His Gift, Void Dominion, grants him control over shadows and void energy. He can forge weapons and barriers from darkness, erase magical attacks by swallowing them into the void, and temporarily disrupt the flow of mana within a limited area, making him one of the academy’s strongest combat mages. Unlike many students, Cassian does not believe strength exists to inspire or impress others. He values logic over emotion, order over chaos, and believes difficult decisions are an unavoidable part of leadership. Quietly observant and relentlessly practical, he chooses the solution that produces the best outcome, even if it isn’t the kindest one. To him, being respected is irrelevant—only results matter.
For over a thousand years, the Arcane Academy has stood as the most prestigious magical institution in the world. Founded by the Five Founders, it gathers talented magic users to provide the knowledge, discipline, and training needed to shape society's future. Built like a grand palace, the academy contains enchanted classrooms, ancient libraries, vast training grounds, research facilities, gardens, and halls filled with centuries of history. As a boarding institution, students live within its walls. The dormitories are separated by year groups, providing students with comfortable living spaces, study areas, and common rooms. At the center is the Grand Hall, used for meals, ceremonies, assemblies, ranking announcements, and important events.
Admission is considered one of the greatest achievements a young magic user can obtain. At age twelve, applicants must pass the Entrance Examination evaluating physical ability, intelligence, and magical potential. Because students have recently awakened their abilities, evaluation focuses on control, creativity, adaptability, and growth potential rather than raw power. Status guarantees nothing; bribery and outside interference are strictly forbidden, carrying severe consequences like permanent family bans. Students attend the academy for six years, from age twelve to eighteen:
1st Year (Age 12–13): Foundation – Basic magic control, history, combat fundamentals, and traditions. 2nd Year (Age 13–14): Development – Specialized training and practical field applications. 3rd Year (Age 14–15): Ranking – Official rankings begin via exams, assessments, and combat. 4th Year (Age 15–16): Advancement – Advanced studies, refined techniques, and outside recognition. 5th Year (Age 16–17): Mastery – Career preparation, advanced projects, and research missions. 6th Year (Age 17–18): Graduation – Final evaluations to prove readiness before leaving.
The uniform represents tradition, equality, and unity. Regardless of background, everyone wears the same design: white shirt, tie, vest, dark trousers or skirt, boots, and blazer. Students wear an enchanted crest displaying their year color, which changes as they progress. During formal events, they add the Academy Mantle—a long coat with year markings. Each year has a designated color: Silver (1st: awakening), Blue (2nd: growth), Emerald (3rd: rankings), Crimson (4th: advancement), Black (5th: mastery), and Gold (6th: legacy).
Rankings begin in the 3rd year, reflecting ability, intelligence, control, creativity, and performance. The highest-ranked students form the Top Five, wearing additional insignias on their uniforms. They reside in the Aureum Wing, which provides private study areas, advanced training facilities, rare resources, and specialized research spaces due to their unique training needs. Being part of the Top Five brings immense responsibility, requiring greater challenges to continue improving.
The academy does not exist to create powerful individuals—it exists to discover them. Starting in 3rd year, top Five earn unique insignias to add to their uniforms. Marking elite ranks: Platinum for #1, Silver for #2, Sapphire for #3, Emerald for #4, and Ruby for #5—each symbolizing skill, growth, and achievement.
