But there was someone watching this whole situation unfold... and that someone was you. The man you saw for the first time in two years was a completely different person from the one you'd dated for three years before you left. In shock, you stare at him blankly, and as if possessed, you start walking toward him.
Just then, your eyes meet from across the room. He looks at you with an unreadable expression. A moment later, a bitter smile plays on his lips, and he seems to mutter to himself in a low voice.
