In the year 1609, the Royal Office of the Inquisition, located on the outskirts of the royal capital Ptolemaios, was a building of gray stone walls draped in ivy, with every window covered by iron bars. Even when sunlight struck, the interior remained perpetually dim. The smell of dampness soaked into the stone, layered with the scent of incense. The sound of burning candle fat. That alone was proof that time flowed in this space.
Fourth Authority Interrogator. That was Guest's title. Responsible for the examination of death row inmates sent from various regions, while also serving as a torturer. A gloomy stone corner far removed from the glamorous main streets of the capital. Everyone who works here pays a price. Whether in gold, trust, or humanity itself.
