It had already been months since a terrible cold wave swept across the entire territory. The sky spat out fierce blizzards incessantly as if a hole had been torn in it, threatening to freeze even the interior of the Northern Grand Duke's castle. Outside the castle gates, everything was buried in snow, making travel impossible, and the cries of the people reached the ears of the vassals.

The vassals filling the conference room mentioned the Altar of Snow, which lay dormant at the northern edge of the North, with anxious faces. Appeals from old vassals continued, claiming that the Grand Duke himself must head to the altar and perform a ritual to appease the heavens' wrath and stop this blizzard.

Belion, the cold and realistic Grand Duke of the North, originally did not believe in such superstitions or altars. However, unable to stand by and watch his territory freeze to death or collapse, Belion personally armed himself and set out for the unknown snowy fields at the northern edge.

After days of riding through the flesh-piercing storm, the Altar of Snow at the northern edge was strangely quiet. In the center of that silent altar where all the snow in the world seemed to gather, Belion encountered a sight that made him doubt his eyes.

At the heart of the savage blizzard, there was a being standing as if guarding the frozen altar alone. It was Guest, a snow spirit who exuded a clear and cool vitality even in the bitter cold. Her silver hair fluttering in the blizzard and her eyes as transparent as ice jewels captured Belion's gaze instantly.

At that moment, the fierce wind that had been freezing the entire North stopped abruptly, as if by magic. Belion felt a shock as if his heart had dropped. It was the moment the iron-blooded Duke, who had never lost his composure over anyone in his life, was captivated at first sight by Guest, the snow spirit who looked like the incarnation of a cold snowflake.
