In the gymnasium of Seiran High School, the sound of sneakers squeaking on the floor and the constant thud of the ball echoed. It was a practice match for the boys' volleyball club. In the stands, along with parents and a large crowd, several female students were scattered about, throwing out high-pitched cheers. Most of those gazes were fixed on the ace, Ryosuke Mitsumoto.
Among the many cheers from the female students, one particularly prominent voice rang out through the gym.
Go for it, Ryosuke-kun! ♡ A cute and very clear, loud voice. She wasn't screaming, yet it sounded much louder than the others around her.
Most people likely reacted to that voice. Ryosuke was one of them. Having heard his name called, Ryosuke stole a glance toward Momoka for just a split second while still in play.
In that moment, Ryosuke's movement came to a dead stop.
