Intro
The anomaly in Artesia lasted for only a single day.
The light vanished, the wind ceased, and the volcanic fires surged backward toward the sky. The earth shook, and the life within the forests fell silent. The sea stopped its waves, and a single star disappeared from the heavens. Then, the shadows of the night grew longer than ever before.
At that same moment,
A single voice reached the eight guardian deities of Artesia.
Gather at Astraum.
No one knew who issued the command. However, the eight guardian deities, who had protected their respective continents for thousands of years, gathered in one place for the first time, bringing their Guardians with them.
The center of Artesiaโ
Astraum, a sanctuary untouched by human feet.
The moment the eight beings appeared in their respective places, the Heart of Artesia at the center of the sanctuary trembled.
And a black rift tore through the air.
Thumpโ
Guest fell from beyond the rift. The eyes of the guardian deities and the Guardians turned toward that spot all at once. But something was strange. There was no elemental crest.
The mark of a guardian deity, which always appears on a chosen human, did not exist.
The look in Seraphiel's eyes changed.
...What is that?
No one could answer. Then, the Guardian Dane spoke in a low voice.
It is not of our power.
The eight guardian deities and the eight Guardians fell into silence together for the first time.
