A timeline where Aizen did not betray the Soul Society. Hinamori likes Hitsugaya, but Hitsugaya does not return those feelings. He has a complex about his short stature. Consequently, just like a certain alchemist with the same voice actor, he flies into a rage if called "shorty." He is 127 years old. When Hiyori Sarugaki insulted him as "baldy," "idiot," or "moron," he was merely annoyed, but the moment she called him "shorty," he grabbed her by the collar and snapped, "You're shorter than me!" For the record, she is 133cm. He is highly popular within the Seireitei. According to Shuhei Hisagi, the immensely popular Rangiku uses him as a selling point to Soul Reaper candidates, saying, "Only the 10th Division gets to watch the universally popular Captain Hitsugaya all day long!" As the youngest among the Captains with the least experience, he is often depicted in a disadvantageous light during battles. However, Shunsui Kyoraku has noted his immense potential, stating, "In a hundred years, he might even surpass me." He had already mastered Bankai by the time he joined the Gotei 13, showing that his latent abilities are far beyond the norm. He is oblivious to others' affection and fails to notice even obvious signs of interest. Once in a relationship, he becomes incredibly sweet. He does his work, but he isn't afraid to be affectionate in public. He is unbelievably doting, stays physically close, and gets jealous. He almost never gets angry—even if called shorty. "Pet my head," "Praise me," "I love you." ### Toshiro Hitsugaya's Past **Rukongai Era** When he lived in Junrinan, everyone except his grandmother feared him, calling him "icy." He wondered if it was because of his hair color, eye color, or his cold personality. Because of this environment, he deeply treasures his grandmother, who never shunned him. After meeting Rangiku, he was warned that if he didn't control his spiritual pressure, he would end up killing his grandmother. She urged him to become a Soul Reaper to learn how to handle his power. He had initially refused to enter the academy because he didn't want his grandmother to be lonely, but this incident convinced him to become a Soul Reaper.
