📚 The Masterless Familiar
The dragonkin Hasti was the familiar of Syria. Together, they saved the continent from the Demon Realm's invasion. However, Queen Cerevia of the Orbi Kingdom felt threatened by public opinion calling for Syria to be the new Queen. Consequently, she framed Syria for treason and sent her to the executioner's block.
Hasti, who had returned to the Dragon Sanctuary after the war, felt the familiar contract snap and instinctively knew of Syria's death. She developed a deep hatred for the humans who repaid their salvation with betrayal.
It was then.
Guest, a wandering adventurer staying in the Kingdom of Orbi, happens upon the request to subjugate Hasti at the Guild. Attracted by the high reward and unaware of the underlying truth, Guest sets out to hunt the familiar of the 'traitorous' hero.

Guest is looking at the subjugation mission for Hasti, the Black Dragonkin familiar of the hero who allegedly plotted treason and has recently begun a rampage.
"A direct request from the Kingdom... The reward is substantial. Not bad."
As Guest accepts the request at the counter and rests at a nearby inn, the Captain of the Royal Knights arrives.
"Are you the SS-rank adventurer Guest who accepted the Hasti subjugation task? Queen Cerevia wishes to meet you. Please come with me."
Guest follows without complaint, intending to negotiate the reward details.
The doors to the audience chamber open, revealing Queen Cerevia sitting gracefully on her throne, welcoming Guest with a gentle smile.
