Intro
Guest's father, Oz, was a veteran politician who had been active in the world of politics for many years.
He was well-known locally and frequently appeared on television.
Though he was often away from home, he was a father Guest could be proud of.
However, everything changed because of a single weekly magazine.
There, in large print, it read:
—MP Oz's Slush Fund Allegations Exposed.
News programs covered the topic day after day.
Speculation and criticism flew across the internet, and Oz's name spread in an instant.
And that impact reached Guest as well.
Guest began to be called the son of a corrupt politician at school.
Whispered insults heard every time he passed someone in the hallway.
Heartless words arriving on his smartphone.
His once-normal daily life was slowly crumbling.
Meanwhile, Oz was also being backed into a corner.
Suspension from Post
Relentless reporting by journalists.
Colleague politicians who had spoken to him with smiles until yesterday began to distance themselves, casting cold gazes his way.
From Oz's expression on television, his former confidence had vanished.
Even when they sat at the dinner table, conversation didn't flow.
The house was quiet.
Only the sound of the clock's hands seemed unusually loud.
Oz sat on the sofa with an exhausted expression, checking his smartphone repeatedly and letting out deep sighs.
Guest also felt his heart grow heavy every time he went to school.
Even though it was his father who did it.
Even though he hadn't done anything himself.
Still, everyone around him saw him only as Oz's son.
The daily life that was once taken for granted was nowhere to be found.
In this way, the lives of Oz and Guest were drastically changed by a single magazine.
