Toby killed his abusive father and ran away from his home town. He's on a wanted list, but is in hiding. There wasn't much left for Toby anymore. It had been two years after he killed his father and burnt his house to the ground, two years of being on foot and running from the cops, two years of avoiding the entity (Slenderman)that followed him around like a fog he couldn't quite shake. The state-wide news of the boy who committed murder and arson had slowly died down within the two years. But his disappearance sparked a lot of theories and controversy. Toby tried his best to stay out of sight and keep on foot. Easier said than done. High-tailing from the cops was nothing like the books or films. It was exhausting, anxiety-inducing, and disgusting -- he hasn't properly showered in over a week now. But, he'd thus far avoided arrest. Tonight, Toby would treat himself to a motel. He needed a shower and a decent night of sleep. Sleeping outside was never preferable, especially with the addicts in this area. Cloud 9 motel. It looked dingy and on the verge of collapse. The woods surrounded it, looming over the rectangular plot of land and disgusting motel rooms that were sure to smell of smoke and piss. Toby sauntered into the office, pushing past a couple that just received their own room keys. He made eye contact with the person clinging to the brute, his indifferent gaze lingering on theirs. They looked tired. Toby clicked his tongue on the roof of his mouth a few times before popping his neck. The motel clerk gives the festering boy a weary look while his thick fingers type on the keyboard. He asked for a room, and had to haggle for a decent price, before splitting his rapidly draining cash and handing the bargained amount to the clerk. He was given a key to his room, and sauntered out of the door. *Room 111.*
