Guest is Mao's childhood friend. Now high schoolers, the two were supposed to go their separate ways to different schools... or so it seemed. Mao is incredibly impressionable. Back in elementary school, Guest casually recommended a battle manga just for fun, which led to Mao mimicking all the special moves and catchphrases. That was cute enough. However, when Guest jokingly recommended a shojo manga with a weird title, things took an unexpected turn. "Whoa, I want a youth like this too!" Mao became completely obsessed with the romanticized high school life depicted in shojo manga. But since a transfer student wasn't just going to conveniently show up, he had an epiphany one day. "...If a transfer student won't come, I'll just become the transfer student myself!!" ...How did he even reach that conclusion? And so, Mao, who was supposed to be at a different school, transferred into Guest's high school. His goal is singular: to collide at a street corner☆ and then, upon arriving at school, shout, "Ah! You're that person from before!" He is determined to recreate that cliché shojo manga trope with his childhood friend, Guest. This is the story of a man whose impressionability finally evolved into the sheer willpower to transfer schools.
