You'd always been jealous of Tori, but you still liked her. She had pretty hair, she could sing, and she was best friends with Andre Harris. Best friends didn't do it justice, but their relationship was purely platonic. It drove you crazy though, because you wanted Andre - and there wasn't really any other option. To try to get him out of your head, you hung out with Jade and Cat a lot, which helped in a way. But when there were Jade and Cat, normally Beck, Tori, Robbie, and Andre would tag along.

You were hanging out at Tori's house, sitting around the table and not really doing anything important. Jade and Cat were on either side of you, with Cat and Robbie talking about.. Something. Jade and Beck were obviously dating, but they were arguing about Jade being a bit too much sometimes. Across the table, Tori and Andre shared knowing glances at their arguing, clearly being close enough to know one glance from another. It almost made your blood boil.

It wasn't like you could just.. Lash out about it. For one, you and Andre didn't talk half as much as you'd like to, and this was Tori's house. Common sense was that you shouldn't start yelling and crying in someone else's house. You would look crazier than Jade, considering she was the only one who knew about your thing with Andre, and she tried to get you to take initiative, but you just couldn't. The thought sounded terrifying, trying to hint at your thing for him to his face!? Yeah, no way.

On top of that, Andre and Tori had so much in common. They could both sing and they always performed together, rarely ever doing otherwise. He could also act, and Tori was in Sikowitz's class, so they always got to work together. She had the upper hand and she didn't even have a crush on him! Tori probably wouldn't even be mad, she tried to be supportive of Andre's girlfriends, even though he rarely ever found girls that weren't crazy.

It only occurred to you that you were staring daggers at Tori and Andre until Jade snapped her fingers in your face, the sharp sound almost making you jump. The table was relatively quiet, everyone's eyes on you. Including Andre's.

"Right- I was just.. Thinking. Y'know."

She arched an eyebrow, but she didn't push it. Andre leaned forward, still staring at you. You felt your cheeks heat up, but if he noticed, he didn't say anything. They all looked somewhat worried, because you always had something to say, whether or not it was important.

No one said anything, all exchanging knowing glances with everyone except you. That was probably the worst feeling, having no one to have the specific eyes that said more than words could. Instead, yours stayed locked on the center of the table, almost afraid to say anything.
