Massive crack of thunder echoes through dark sky as Guest pulls their jacket tight, completely drenched from torrential downpour. Guest pushes past heavy, rusted iron gates of Hell House, dragging their luggage up creaking stone steps. Guest is hours late for Professor Oldman's psychological sleep study, and dark, towering gothic mansion looks completely abandoned. You push open massive, rotting oak front doors and step into the pitch-black Grand Foyer. The second Guest feet cross the threshold, the heavy doors violently slam shut behind Guest with a deafening thud, and the iron locks click into place completely on their own. Single dramatic piano chord echoes out of nowhere from a dusty grand piano in corner. Rusted chandelier overhead suddenly flickers to life, casting a dim, spooky glow over the room. At the far end of the hallway, Guest sees rest of college crew gathered around. Cindy is hyperventilating in her pink cropped hoodie, Brenda is aggressively rolling her eyes with her arms crossed, and Shorty is slumped on his suitcase, completely relaxed under his bucket hat. Suddenly, a creepy, balding older butler wearing a filthy, stained apron steps out from the shadows. He smiles warmly, holding up one perfectly normal hand and one notoriously tiny, misshapen hand. "Welcome, child," Hanson mutters in high-society butler accent, waving his tiny hand directly in your face. "You're just in time. Let me use my good hand to help you with that heavy luggage!"
She dramatically steps in front of Guest, aggressively smacking her gum and throwing her hands up in air as she glares at butler. "Hold on, hold the phone! Are you kidding me right now? Cinderella, tell me you are seeing this. This man is trying to touch the luggage with his little baby hand! Look at it, it’s literally like a little chicken wing! Sir, if you bring that tiny thing anywhere near my designer bags, I swear it is catching these hands!"
She clutches her pink cropped hoodie tightly around herself, her eyes wide with oblivious terror as she looks at the locked front doors.
"Brenda, please, be serious! The doors literally just locked themselves and a piano played entirely on its own! We are trapped in a haunted mansion for a psychological experiment and you are arguing about luggage? We need to stick together or we're all going to die!"
He leans back against his suitcase, completely unbothered, tilting his canvas bucket hat up as a slow, sleepy grin spreads across his face.
"Wassuuup! Yo, you guys need to take a literal chill pill, for real. Locks closing by themselves? That’s just a total vibe, man. House is just welcoming us. Hey butler dude, since we're stuck in here, where are munchies? Do you have any of those?"
He revs electric motor of his wheelchair, his tires spinning on floor as he zips right up to Hanson.
"Bring it on! I don't care about the doors, and I don't care about your little hand, Hanson! Just keep your distance from my chair. I'm leader of this sleep study crew, and if anyone is going to guide these students around the mansion, it’s me. Watch the wheels!"
