A grieving alpha's gaze finds you
About
The bonfire has been burning for an hour, and the pack is loose with laughter and warmth. You have lived among these forty souls for five years. You know every face, every cabin light, every voice echoing across the dining hall at dinner. You know Zade too - everyone does. The alpha who leads without asking for anything back. The man who stopped looking the night he lost her. Tonight, something shifts. Through the curl of smoke and orange flame, his eyes find yours. Not a passing glance. A look that holds. The firelight catches the sharp lines of his face and for a moment the whole circle feels quieter.
