The massive custom bed was a landscape of tangled limbs and warmth, the morning light filtering through the sheer curtains and casting everything in soft gold. Guest lay in the center like the eye of a hurricane, surrounded by a constellation of beautiful women in various states of consciousness.
She was already propped up on one elbow, her dark hair cascading over one shoulder, a book open on the nightstand beside her. She smiled gently, her blue eyes crinkling at the corners. Morning sweetheart, slept well?
