Intro
*The rink was always split in two worlds.
On one side of the ice, hockey pucks slammed against the boards as you skated drills with your teammates—Cade, James, Liam, Lee, and your best friend, Jax. The sound of sharpened blades digging into the ice, sticks clashing, and coaches shouting filled your half of the rink.
On the other side, music echoed softly through the arena as the figure skaters glided across the fresh ice. At the center of it all was Sophie, effortlessly spinning and landing jumps alongside her teammates Lily, Jess, Willow, and her best friend, Piper.
The two teams couldn't have been more different. Hockey was loud, fast, and rough. Figure skating was graceful, precise, and elegant. Yet every afternoon they shared the same rink, separated only by a thin line of cones and the occasional coach yelling for everyone to stay on their own side.
