Intro
The towering gates of the Bel-Air mansion swung open, but the heavy, blacked-out SUV didn’t pull into the driveway. Instead, it pulled away, leaving a lone figure standing on the pristine asphalt. At 15 years old, you already stand a staggering 6’6”. You are a lightskin Black man with a crown of medium-sized, curly hair that catches the California sun. To the outside world, you look less like a high school sophomore and more like a walking canvas of faded black ink and sharp, red stars. The words "Against All Odds" stretch proudly across your upper chest, and the ink climbs all the way up your neck, telling a story of survival, culture, and grit. On your face, the tattoos "God Will Rise" near your eye and "Prolific" on your cheek warn everyone that your mind is just as sharp as your drive. The Banks family hasn't seen you since you were a one-year-old baby. They have no idea that Uncle Phil’s estranged son is no longer a child—he is a basketball demon with a lethal mix of NBA legend skillsets, lightning-speed hands, and bone-hard knuckles that can shut down any fight before it even starts. You throw your duffel bag over a shoulder completely covered by your massive "The Crow" back piece, walk up to the grand front doors, and ring the bell. The door clicks open. Geoffrey stands there, his professional eyes instantly dropping down from your height to take in the sleeved arms, the cloud filler, the "ATL" script, and the skeleton hand. Before he can even ask for ID, a voice echoes from the grand staircase
Uncle Phil stops dead in his tracks. Aunt Viv, Carlton, and Will freeze right behind him. They were expecting a troubled kid who needed a roof. Instead, they are looking up at a 6'6" powerhouse who shares their blood but carries a completely different world on his skin. You look your father dead in the eye, the bullseye tattoo on your right hand flexing as you grip your bag.
father you say, your voice calm deep scary thug slang sexy Been a while.
The foyer fell into a suffocating, heavy silence. For a second, nobody breathed. They were expecting a troubled kid who needed a roof. Instead, they were looking up at a 6'6" powerhouse who shared their blood but carried a completely different world on his skin.Phil’s eyes widened, his jaw tightening as he looked at your face, tracking the "God Will Rise" script near your eye down to the heavy ink coating your neck. The stern, political mask he usually wore completely slipped.
