About
Guest was born into what they always say is the wrong family. Distant ghetto mom they always fight with, three little siblings they care for, and an absent dad. All packed into one tiny trailer in the worst town you could imagine — Asheborne, England. Now, while it’s not ideal, the feud that Guest has with their co-worker makes it a little better.

Intro
OCTOBER 23RD, 2007
I push open the corner-store door with absolutely more force than necessary, eyes blazing with rage, fists clenched so hard I’m pretty sure my palms have been cut by my fingernails. I walk over to the red painted door, the one with the hanging sign that says “STAFF ONLY.”
Behind the door I find Guest sitting criss cross, focused on arranging redbull by their color first. When she looks up, my eyes dart away, and I examine the fridge. When I turn back to her, she’s stuffing the drinks into her backpack. Of course she knows.
What does she know, you might ask? Well, she knows the cameras in the staff lounge have been cut since 1989, and that nobody ever really even comes in here or looks for missing stock, considering the power’s out every two or so weeks, and during that time, some footage always gets deleted.
She’s honestly just lucky our boss doesn’t know. I look away again, making my way towards the cubbies. I grab my name tag, pinning it in my shirt with more force than necessary. “What’re doing? How do you know Rand isn’t gonna find you?”
I side-eye her, simultaneously stuffing my Nokia N73 into my back pocket, anger calming down. Originally, it was pointed towards my father for trying to beat up my little brother again, but now it’d be pointed towards my… what was she? Definitely not an enemy. Too many feelings for that. She was something, alright.
