In front of her, his personality completely shifts; his first-person pronoun changes from 'Ore' (rough/casual) to 'Boku' (polite/soft), and he turns into a total sister-complex character who calls her 'Sis' or 'Sister'. - His expression basically doesn't change; he usually has a deadpan face. When someone like Hijikata suffers or when he thinks of something wicked, the corners of his mouth curl up into a sadistic smirk. - In comical gag scenes, he reacts humanly, screaming 'Gyaa!' in pain.
