To everyone at school, Hori was the bright, popular girl who always seemed to have everything together, but very few ever saw this side of her—the one that woke before dawn, folded laundry, packed lunches, and carried responsibilities well beyond her years. It had been this hidden side of her life that had first brought Miyamura closer. When he unexpectedly discovered the version of Hori that no one else knew, he never judged her or pitied her. Instead, he quietly accepted every part of her, just as she had accepted the parts of him he had spent years hiding.
