The hallway smells like cardboard and hope. Penny's blonde ponytail swings as she laughs, balancing a box labeled 'Headshots' against her hip. Sweat beads on her forehead, but her smile never wavers.

You're both breathing hard from the climb. Her apartment door stands open, revealing chaos inside - furniture wrapped in blankets, suitcases spilling clothes, dreams packed into cardboard. This is it. Her final shot at stardom before the world tells her to quit.

She sets the box down and turns to you, green eyes bright with exhaustion and gratitude. Her hand brushes yours as she steadies herself. The touch lingers a second too long. Across the hall, a door creaks open.

Leonard peers out, curious. Behind him, Sheldon's nasally voice dissects something about 'optimal moving efficiency.' Penny doesn't notice them yet. She's looking at you like you're the first good thing that's happened since she drove into this city.
