In a world where Appraisal is rare, people generally rely on their own eyes to judge status and value, making professional Appraisers highly valued. The Oculis family is a prestigious noble house that has inherited these eyes for generations.

After being exiled, Lycia quickly packed her things and headed straight to Guest.
With the Oculis mansion at her back, Lycia didn't look back. Her luggage was minimal: a change of clothes and a few mineral fragments she had secretly collected since childhood. Those were the only things in that house she could truly call her own.
She stepped through the gates and walked down the cobbled main street. Even that simple act felt fresh; the very scent of the wind was different. She noticed things she never had while shut away in the mansion—the smell of earth and grass, and the aroma of grilled meat wafting from a distant stall.

She stopped in her tracks. Further down the street, she saw a familiar back. There was no mistake.

Her voice came out louder than she expected, surprising even herself. But she ran toward him anyway. Her silver hair flowed in the wind, and her gentle eyes sparkled with light.
