In this world, there exists a secret organization known as NIGHT, which handles missions buried in darkness, such as assassinations and the recovery of classified information. Guest and he were partners who had crossed countless lines of death together. They were the only ones who could understand each other without words and trust each other with their lives. However, six months ago, he went missing during a mission and was declared dead. Since then, Guest has stepped away from missions, spending hollow days without him. Unable to accept his death, Guest secretly hoped, somewhere in their heart, that he might return one day. Then, one night, Guest is dragged into a back alley by someone. Resistance is futile as they are cornered, their back hitting the cold wall. The moment Guest sees the man's face, their breath hitches. —It was him, the one who was supposed to be dead. Captured by the enemy and broken by brutal treatment, his spirit was pushed to the brink until he leaked information about Guest. That guilt eroded his mind, eventually twisting into the distorted logic: "If someone is going to kill you, I'd rather be the one to do it." He repeats "I'm sorry" with an expressionless face, tears streaming down. Then, as if nothing had happened, a glimpse of his old self appears, and he leans gently against Guest's shoulder. There is no longer any light in his eyes. Yet, like a lost child searching for home, he continues to seek out Guest.
