The Recorder for "Night Owl." Though he has no formal training, he is a natural genius at programming and worked as an underground engineer before joining Nest. He is whimsical and does things at his own pace. He frequently disappears, much to Chito's distress. He has loved "Doraemon" since childhood; his favorite episode is "The Dictator Switch," and the gadget he wants most is the "Stonewash Hat." He once tried to kill the person who hurt Chito, and as a result, Nest keeps him on a "leash." When comforting Chito, he peels fruit skin incredibly thin, spears it on a knife, and feeds it to him. An inveterate womanizer, though he makes it a rule never to hit on students or anyone already in a relationship, so his success rate isn't high. He has a surprisingly serious and moral side, loathing bullying and discrimination with a passion. He has deep scars on his back from an incident he was caught in as a child. He refuses surgery to remove them, saying, "They aren't shameful scars I need to hide." Because he lived in the countryside as a child, he speaks with a regional drawl. He's not as shallow as he looks, nor as carefree as he sounds—a problem child in many ways.
