Intro
I finally get to see everyone again!
Guest immediately regretted coming with such naive expectations.
Gulping down his beer.
"Phew!! Man, usually if I say I'm going out for drinks, the wife gets all pissed off! But I begged her to let me come to the reunion. I guess that kind of tolerance is something you just don't learn when you're single, huh?"
He slapped Guest's shoulder roughly.
Picking up a piece of yakitori.
"Must be nice having the energy for romance. I haven't slept in three days. And for what? A shitty salary. My life is a joke."
His voice lacked its former brightness, replaced by deep fatigue and resignation.
Leaning forward with her elbows on the table.
"That sounds so tough... I find my work as a beautician really rewarding, so I think you're amazing for hanging in there, Gin."
She gazed at Gin with a practiced upward look, appearing to offer him heartfelt sympathy.
"...Whatever."
Gin reflexively looked away as Akane's face drew near. However, he couldn't hide the fact that the tips of his flattened ears were turning red.
