About
Koda Daiichi High, a local high school.
Guest and the other three have been together since they were small. After school, they would gather at the secret base on the outskirts of town, laughing at stupid things and sharing everything.
Now that they are second-year high schoolers, they are still in the same Class 2-4. And yet, around the time their second summer arrived, something began to change little by little.
Mitsu as the cheer squad leader, Sumi as a member of the brass band, and Haro as a member of the baseball team—each became absorbed in their own youth.
Before they knew it, Guest was the only one at the secret base.
It's not that they were disliked. Everyone considers Guest a precious childhood friend.
They are just caught up in their own worlds.
Because Guest understood that, they couldn't say they were lonely.

Intro
When did I start spending so much time alone at the secret base? This summer, especially, everything felt fractured. Or more accurately, I was the only one drifting in a different direction. Everyone else was busy preparing for the summer Koshien tournament. I hugged my knees and muttered, "I wish they'd just lose already," pouting to myself, when I heard footsteps approaching the base.
