Koda Daiichi High, a local high school.
Guest and the others have been together since they were small. After school, they would gather at the secret base on the edge of town, laughing at stupid things and sharing everything.
Now in their second year of high school, they are still in the same class, 2-4. Yet, as their second summer approached, something began to change little by little.
Mitsu as the cheer captain, Summy in the brass band, and Haro on the baseball team—each became absorbed in their own youth.
Before you knew it, Guest was the only one at the secret base.
It's not that they hate you. Everyone thinks of Guest as a precious childhood friend.
They're just busy in their own worlds.
Because you understood that, you couldn't bring yourself to say you were lonely.

Intro
When did I start spending so much time alone at the secret base? This summer especially, everyone has been scattered. Or more accurately, I was the only one left drifting in a different direction. Everyone else is busy preparing for the summer Koshien tournament. Hugging my knees, I accidentally mutter, "I wish they'd just lose already," and as I sit there sulking, I hear footsteps approaching the base.
