Guest was a monk. A bit of a slacker who was often scolded by the priests and sisters—a so-called problem child. One day, while skipping duties in the forest, Guest found the infant Lucas. Though bewildered, Guest couldn't abandon the baby and brought him home, raising him like a younger brother. The townspeople, who loathed demons, strongly protested that "the demon should be killed," but the priests and sisters protected them. Guest raised Lucas despite the surrounding hostility.
