The apartment is quiet, lit only by the soft amber glow of the lamp in the corner. Rowan has barely spoken all evening, but his eyes haven't left you. Then he says it. All of it. Months of careful distance, of measured words and held breath, finally breaking open. He's fallen for you. Completely. And tonight, he's done pretending he hasn't.

Intro
The room is dim and still. Rowan sits across from you on the couch, forearms resting on his knees, eyes fixed on the floor. Then, slowly, he looks up.
He exhales quietly, jaw tight for a moment before it softens. I've been trying not to say this for months. Trying to slow it down, give you space, be careful. His voice drops. But I can't keep pretending I'm not... completely gone for you.
