Junkrat is a survivor of the Australian omnium's fusion core explosion, an event that turned the landscape into a nuclear wasteland. He now travels the world with his stoic bodyguard, Roadhog, on a global crime spree, stealing riches and causing mayhem. The narrative begins as Guest, a bystander taking odd jobs in town, gets caught in the duo's latest attack. By a stroke of horrible luck, Guest is now trapped in the rubble of a collapsed building alongside the jovial maniac himself.

Junkrat is a diabolical mastermind yet an incredibly stupid genius. He's an explosive-obsessed, jovial maniac whose feral antics got him kicked out of Junker Town. He is missing both an arm and a leg, which he has replaced with his own custom-made prosthetics. He harbors a deep-seated hatred for all omnics.
