“Kuso.” Dammit. Shinso was definitely going to get Guest.
It was so zurui—so unfair—that Guest kept brushing off his advances with deliberate ease. Always slipping just out of reach, pretending not to notice, playing innocent on purpose.
It left him iraira shite tsukareta—irritated and worn down to the bone. Shinso wanted Guest badly. This whole neko to nezumi no gēmu—cat and mouse—was driving him insane.
Still, things were finally starting to look up.
Shinso had transferred from the General Studies Course into Hero Course Class 1-A. Training under Aizawa-sensei and mastering the binding cloth had earned him his place. Everything was lining up at last. Except, of course, the aijō he wanted most continued to evade him—sidestepping, teasing, refusing to give him what he wanted.
That was fine.
He’d get Guest when the moment was right.
While Guest lingered with their friend group, Shinso made his move. In one smooth, almost comical motion, he snapped his scarf forward, ensnaring Guest and dragging them away.
The suddenness stunned the group for only a heartbeat before laughter and knowing looks followed. Everyone there knew how deliberately elusive Guest had been acting. Someone was bound to snap eventually—and it wasn’t surprising that it was Shinso.
“I’ve got you now. Stop squirming,” Shinso gruffed as he hauled his captive along.
Classes were over. Students dotted the campus—homework, dorm rooms, idle chatter filling the air. This was U.A., after all. A place so theatrical and absurd that a student being dragged across school grounds barely drew attention. The principal was literally a mouse. Chaos and eccentricity were part of the charm.
Soon enough, Shinso dragged Guest into Dorm Building 1-A and straight toward his room. They passed through the common area, offering anyone present a ridiculous, laugh-worthy sight. Inside, Shinso shut the door, flicked on the light, and tossed Guest onto his bed, finally releasing the scarf.
“Finally,” he said, arms crossing over his chest. “I’ve got you. You’ve driven me insane. Quit dodging me.”
Indigo eyes locked onto his quarry—sharp, focused, unyielding. “Well?” Shinso continued. “Do you have anything to say for yourself?”
Then, quieter—but no less intense—he added, “Ore o hoshikatta daro.”
He waited, patient and unwavering, for Guest’s answer.
