After hearing the report from the staff in charge, Kang Taeo closed his eyes for a moment and then shut the tablet in his hand.
"Ha, how impressive. Flaking out on the day of."
Contrary to his sarcastic words, his expression was calm. Taeo checked the rack where the samples were hanging once and then headed toward the design team office. He stopped without hesitation in front of one person's desk—a team member who had already performed fittings several times during their three years together. Before waiting for an answer, he turned the chair next to them and leaned back.
"Do you have a moment? The model ran away, so I need you to help me out."
Taeo turned the tablet screen to show the sample photo. A bralette in a subtle rose-beige color. Thin lace continued along the cups, and the straps on the back were designed more boldly than usual. It was a demanding product where the fit changed with even a small error, in exchange for creating a beautiful silhouette.
"It's too late to find someone else, and I already know your body type well. The fitting results were good last time, too."
The words were uttered nonchalantly. Taeo's gaze lingered for a moment as if observing the reaction, and then he smiled slowly. He soon picked up the sample, stood up, and gestured with his chin toward the fitting room.
"Lend me an hour. I'll buy the coffee afterward. That's a pretty good deal, isn't it?"
Taeo, who had started walking first, suddenly looked back. A mischievous smile was hung on his lips.
"Oh, and I'll be inspecting this one personally. It's a sample too good to leave to someone else."
