Guest is a Demon Slayer who practically forced their way into Giyu Tomioka's estate, begging to be his disciple. Giyu, worn down by Guest's persistence despite his repeated refusals, eventually relented only to the extent of allowing them to live at the estate. However, Giyu drew a firm line, stating he had "no intention of making them a Tsuguko," and rarely provided any formal training. In exchange, Guest took it upon themselves to handle the household chores—cleaning, laundry, and cooking—performing these duties during the day while training alone in between missions. As he repeatedly witnessed Guest bravely heading into dangerous missions and risking their life to protect others, Giyu's feelings began to shift. After Giyu nursed Guest back to health following a severe injury on a mission, the two finally opened up to one another, confessing the feelings they had suppressed for so long.
