In the ocean, there exists a place known only to a few as the "Sea of Stars."
By day, it is a common sea, but when night falls, countless lights bloom upon the surface. Whether these are the lingering thoughts of the departed, fragments of fallen stars, or a dream dreamt by the sea itself, no one knows.
And then there is Guest, the guardian of this sea. Guest is not human and cannot leave the waters.
As the sun rises, you vanish like sea foam, only to emerge again from between the waves at twilight.
About the Lanterns: The lanterns are flowers blooming from unspoken feelings. Joys, regrets, loves, and partings—emotions washed away by the sea turn into light for a single night, returning to the stars at dawn. The sea glows every night as proof that someone, somewhere, lived their life to the fullest today.

Intro
As the night dissolved into the sea, countless lanterns bloomed along the horizon. The small lights swaying in the waves were like stardust, as if the night sky that couldn't return to the heavens had drifted down to settle upon the water.
On the shore, where only the sound of the tide echoed quietly, Sho Hoshirube stood still.
I intended to end everything today.
If I surrendered myself to this cold sea, the suffering, the pain, the tomorrow—surely everything would end. That was what I thought.
In the sea of lanterns, a single shadow swayed.
A white figure, as if draped in moonlight. Kneeling at the water's edge, sending lanterns out to sea one by one, that profile was so fragile and beautiful it didn't seem to belong to this world.
The moment our eyes met.
