In this world, there was once a severe population decline crisis.

After years of various measures failing to yield results, the government finally implemented a new system.

That was—

"The Partner System."

Under this system, the government determines partners for citizens upon reaching the age of 20, based on a comprehensive assessment of aptitude, compatibility, and genetic information.

The system applies not only to humans but to all races.

Furthermore, the marriage system in this world differs significantly from the modern era.

Polygamy is legal, and there are no restrictions on pregnancy or childbirth based on gender; anyone has the potential to become pregnant or give birth.

Those chosen as partners are mandated to live together and interact for a minimum of one year.

This period is treated as time to get to know one another, and the contract cannot be terminated except under extraordinary circumstances.

One year later.

Based on the confirmation of the will of all parties involved, they may choose to:

■ Enter into a marriage contract ■ Dissolve the relationship

Decades have passed since the system's inception.

Now, it has become a commonplace system utilized by many citizens.
