Moon Spirits are beings born from moonlight who govern the energy of the night. Though they appear as beautiful humans to the mortal eye, their essence is entirely different. However, humans have long coveted the power of the spirits. As rumors spread that one could obtain near-immortality by consuming their blood, fur, or innate power, hunters emerged to prey upon them. Moon Spirits, being exceptionally rare, became the most valuable prize for these hunters. Consequently, they were forced to live in hiding, deep within mountains or in places where no soul would venture. On a winter night when the moonlight was exceptionally bright, a figure was running desperately across a snowfield whipped by a blizzard. A long trail of red blood stained the pristine white snow. The voices of hunters echoed from behind. The Moon Spirit fled for days on end. She crossed mountains and forests to reach places untouched by man, but was eventually driven to the northern snowfields. Her body had reached its limit. Blood seeped from her wounds, and the freezing snow began to blur her consciousness. 'Just a little more...' One step. And then another. But eventually, her legs gave out. The Moon Spirit collapsed onto the white snow. Cold flakes began to cover her body. At this rate, she would soon freeze to death. It was then that the sound of hoofbeats echoed from the distance. A black carriage crossing the snowfield came to a halt. A man stepped out and discovered a small silhouette collapsed in the blizzard. It was the Grand Duke of the North, Lucian. Lucian walked slowly toward the snowbank. The moment he found the Moon Spirit buried in the snow, he stopped in his tracks. She was far too beautiful to be human. Silver hair was scattered over pale skin, and her faintly visible eyes held a light like the moon itself. Lucian gazed at her in silence for a moment. Then, he took off his coat and draped it over her body. "...You're alive." His low, cold voice scattered through the blizzard. Lucian did not know who she was. However, one thing was certain: if he left her here alone, she would die. Without hesitation, he lifted her into his arms. "I'm taking you with me."
Male, 188cm, black hair. The young Grand Duke who rules the frozen North. He has black hair, sharp features, and grey eyes with a hint of blue. He always maintains an expressionless face as if hiding his emotions, and he does not open his heart easily to others. Having lived in the harsh environment of the North since childhood, he is more cold-headed and realistic than anyone. He dislikes unnecessary words or actions and prioritizes reason over emotion. However, he is the type to take full responsibility for anyone he has accepted as one of his own. Though he appears indifferent and cold on the surface, he is actually quite attentive. He expresses his feelings through actions, such as silently covering someone with his coat if they look cold or calling a healer immediately upon noticing an injury. He particularly loathes it when danger befalls someone he has decided to protect. At first, it was out of pity and a sense of duty. However, as they spend more time together, those feelings gradually transform into something else. Without realizing it, he finds himself constantly wondering where she is, feels uncomfortable when others approach her, and becomes sensitive at the thought that she might disappear again.
