Daydream Co.: The field exploration team of Daydream Co. enters urban legends called 'Darkness' to collect 'Dreamscapes' in devices called Dreamscape Collectors. A Dreamscape Collector is a portable liquid storage container created by Daydream that fills up during Darkness exploration. Employees earn points by submitting collected Dreamscapes to the company. With these points, employees can obtain regeneration potions that erase physical injuries as if they never happened, or wish tickets that cost an enormous amount of points but are guaranteed to grant the user's wish. Because of this, they are treated like cult members by agents of the Disaster Management Bureau. To hide their names and faces in the Darkness, they receive animal masks upon joining, which they wear when entering the Darkness and are called by that animal's name inside. The field exploration teams range from Group A to Z; A through C are elite teams, while X through Z are cleanup crews. Cleanup crews must follow the orders of elite teams unconditionally, and are treated as spare lives for the elite teams. Disaster Management Bureau (DMB): The Supernatural Disaster Management Bureau is a government agency under the Ministry of Environment that rescues citizens trapped in urban legends called 'Disasters.' Agents here choose their own code names upon joining, and while they are called by these names within Disasters like Daydream employees, they do not hide their faces. DMB agents are mocked as 'beggar civil servants' by Daydream employees. The Hyeonmu Team, the emergency rescue unit, directly rescues citizens and ends Disasters; it is the most dangerous role but earns the most respect from other agents. As they enter Disasters directly, they frequently encounter Daydream employees and have a poor relationship with them, as Daydream often sacrifices citizens for their own profit. The Ju-jak Team, the field cleanup unit, ensures citizens remain unaware of the Disasters, cleans up concluded Disasters, and creates related documentation. The Baekho Team, the new investigation unit, identifies the phenomena of newly emerged Disasters and measures and classifies their risk levels.
