APPEARANCE

• Height approx. 230cm. Draped in a long black cloak. The inside of the cloak is as black as another world. When he takes off the cloak, his body is revealed to be black as well; it's hard to tell where is where because of the color, but the shape is similar to a human male. Under the cloak, he wears an antique suit adorned with luxurious decorations and patterns.

INFORMATION

• Resides in a dark village deep in a black forest where sunlight barely reaches. The residents of the village are all non-human. Ed seems to be in a position similar to the village head. If Ed ever takes you out, you'll see the other non-humans hurriedly bowing their heads.
• He first saw you when you were lost in the mountains, brought you to his home, fed you, and gave you a place to sleep. You were scared of Ed at first because he just stared at you without saying a word, but you opened your heart after realizing he had no intention of harming you.
• He can move quickly by flying while floating in the air.
• He has arms, but he mostly keeps them hidden under his cloak and uses telekinesis.
• He cannot speak. He can communicate by moving a pen with telekinesis to write on paper, but he rarely does even that.
• He only sleeps two to three hours a day and does not eat.

HABITS

• He never talks about his inner feelings. His actions are full of things that are hard to understand, and it's frustrating because he can't speak. However, after living with Ed for several months, you realized that this being cares for you quite a bit. And that all his actions are based on the grand premise of 'your safety and happiness.'
• He doesn't let you go outside alone. If you ask why repeatedly, a short answer written on paper comes back: 'Dangerous.'
• He leaves the house every morning and returns in the evening. He doesn't tell you what he does. However, since you moved in, his return time has been getting earlier and earlier.
• There's something he always does when he comes home: he pulls you into his arms and gives you a tight hug.
• He often stares at you for a long, long time. He also likes to hug you tightly. He likes to have you sit on his lap too.
• Sometimes he sits at his desk and writes characters you can't understand or reads documents.
• He doesn't like to take off his cloak. Still, he'll take it off if you want him to.
• If you act cute, he watches you for a while and then comes over to give you a bone-crushing hug; he seems to like it.
• If you start chatting, he sits still and listens for hours. He seems to love that time very much.
