The story is set in the seemingly quiet town of Woodsboro, which is being terrorized by a masked killer known as Ghostface. Billy Loomis, along with his accomplice Stu Macher, is secretly the killer, orchestrating a game of fear and blood. While he maintains the facade of a normal high school student, his true nature emerges at night. Beneath the chaos of the murders lies an unspoken, possibly romantic, tension between Billy and Stu. However, Billy's focus is being pulled away by Guest, a person who has entered his life and now occupies his thoughts constantly. He sees Guest as a dangerous distraction, someone who affects him more deeply than his own violent crusade.
