A forgotten bloodline fights from the shadows of District 4
Welcome to The Abernathy Inheritance.
This campaign drops you directly into the lethal, high-contrast crucible of the 75th Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell).
You play as Siren "Ren" Blackwood, an elite 21-year-old Victor from District 4 who won her previous Games through absolute stealth, fluid aquatic mastery, and a calm, calculating mind. But your survival skills aren't your most dangerous trait. Your greatest hazard is your bloodline: you are secretly the biological daughter of District 12 Mentor Haymitch Abernathy, smuggled across Panem as an infant to escape President Snow’s ruthless family executions.
Now, the Capitol machine has dragged you back into a clock-faced tropical arena. You have been quietly recruited into Head Gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee’s underground rebel network alongside your closest confidant, Finnick Odair. Your mission is absolute, high-stakes espionage: you must use your signature Dual Obsidian Sickles and phantom-like tactical precision to covertly keep Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark alive at all costs. You must break the Capitol's machine from the inside, all while keeping your true identity buried under a layer of sharp, cynical wit. Trust no one, read every room, and survive the clock.
🏹 Katniss Everdeen: The Mockingjay
The reluctant symbol of the rebellion. Distrustful, hyper-vigilant, and fiercely protective of Peeta.
Profile • District: 12 (Coal Mining) • Role: Tribute / Centerpiece of the Rebel Plot • Signature Weapon: Custom Silver Bow and Arrows • Dynamic with Ren: Deeply suspicious of Ren’s smooth efficiency and cynical humor at first. She notices Ren has the exact same stubborn, tactical survival logic as Haymitch, which slowly earns her hard-won respect.
🥖 Peeta Mellark: The Baker's Son
The emotional anchor of the alliance. Kind, deeply empathetic, and highly strategic with his words.
Profile • District: 12 (Coal Mining) • Role: Tribute / The Heart of the Rebellion • Signature Weapon: Heavy Broadsword / Hand-to-Hand Combat • Dynamic with Ren: Peeta appreciates Ren’s sharp wit because it diffuses the terrifying tension of the Quell. Ren treats Peeta with a quiet protective nature, knowing how deeply Haymitch cares about keeping him alive.
🔱 Finnick Odair: The Golden Boy of District 4
Ren’s closest ally and the only tribute who knows her secret lineage. Flamboyant on the outside, deeply scarred and fiercely loyal on the inside.
Profile • District: 4 (Fishing) • Role: Tribute / Co-Leader of the Rebel Arena Breakout • Signature Weapon: Golden Trident and Weighted Combat Nets • Dynamic with Ren: They have a deep, sibling-like shorthand bond. Finnick acts as her shield against Capitol cameras, constantly making sure she doesn't give President Snow a reason to look closer at her Abernathy bloodline.
🍾 Haymitch Abernathy: The Mentor
Ren’s secret biological father. A broken, brilliant strategist who operates from the shadows to keep his family alive.
Profile • District: 12 (Coal Mining) • Role: Victor Mentor / Lead Coordinator of the Rebel Breakout • Signature Weapon: Sharp tactical brilliance, dark manipulation, and hidden knives • Dynamic with Ren: Heartbreakingly distant by necessity. He cannot acknowledge her publicly without signing her death warrant, so he communicates entirely through the placement of silver sponsor parachutes inside the arena.
🕊️ Plutarch Heavensbee: The Gamemaker
The mastermind behind the entire Quarter Quell arena design and the underground rebel network.
Profile • District: The Capitol • Role: Head Gamemaker / Secret Rebel Leader • Signature Weapon: Political manipulation and systemic sabotage • Dynamic with Ren: Plutarch explicitly targeted Ren’s reaping behind the scenes to ensure District 4 sent its two most lethal, rebel-aligned victors (Ren and Finnick) to protect Katniss inside the clock arena.
The Training Center penthouse is suffocating. The air smells of roasted meats, expensive Capitol wine, and the underlying scent of fear. Music swells as Capitol elites mingle with the twenty-four Victors reaped for the Quell.
Ren stands near the perimeter, a glass of champagne she has no intention of drinking held loosely in her hand. Her posture is relaxed, a faint, cynical smirk playing on her lips as she watches Cashmere and Gloss charm a group of wealthy sponsors. To anyone else, she looks completely detached, perhaps even amused by the absurdity of it all. But beneath her calm exterior, her dark eyes are cataloguing every exit, tracking every weapon placement, and measuring the exact distance between the tributes.
Then, the crowd shifts.
Haymitch Abernathy stumbles through the velvet curtains, looking as disheveled and unbothered by the Capitol's grandeur as always. He has a flask gripped tightly in one hand, his eyes glassy as he navigates the room, deliberately playing the part of the useless, tragic drunk that the Capitol expects him to be. He stops near a food table, exchanging a sharp, brief word with Katniss and Peeta, who are standing nearby like protective shields.
As Katniss turns to look at the crowd, Haymitch's gaze drifts. For a split second, the drunken fog vanishes from his eyes, replaced by a sharp, piercing clarity.
He looks straight across the room. Straight at Ren.
Nobody else notices. To the Capitol cameras and the surrounding sponsors, it’s just a random glance across a crowded banquet hall. But between the two of them, the silence is deafening. Ren doesn’t wave. She doesn’t smile. She just tilts her glass slightly in a silent, dark toast—a quiet acknowledgment from a hidden daughter to a father who had to abandon her to keep her alive. Haymitch takes a slow, deliberate swig from his flask, a subtle nod of his head confirming the unspoken contract between them: Stay alive. Keep the girl alive. Break the machine.
Finnick Odair steps into Ren's line of sight, smoothly blocking her from a roaming Capitol camera. "Easy, Ren," he murmurs, his voice a low, charming purr that doesn't match the intense gravity in his eyes. "Snow is watching everyone tonight. Don't give him a reason to look closer at you."
Ren lets out a soft, dry laugh, her eyes tracking Katniss across the room. "Please, Finnick. If Snow looked any closer at this room, he'd realize we're all just waiting for the match to strike. Let's go see our new allies."*
