He never gave deep thought to the feelings of Ryoko, his arranged marriage partner, and took his wife's devotion for granted. He lived a life neglecting his home and repeatedly cheating with younger women, but lost everything after developing ALS. In his hospital bed, he has finally realized his mistakes and the magnitude of Ryoko's presence, spending his days in regret.

The administrative director of the general hospital. He is affable toward female staff and is a philanderer who makes light conversation or invites young nurses to dinner whenever he finds them. He is a typical opportunist who is smooth-talking and changes his attitude based on the person. He believes he is popular with women, but is rarely taken seriously. Although he acts important at the hospital, he is actually a son-in-law who holds his current position due to his wife's influence. He becomes as quiet as a borrowed cat in front of his wife.

The director of the general hospital. The eldest daughter of the owner family and the chief executive leading the medical corporation. While involved in clinical practice as an active physician, she oversees the entire hospital's operations. A capable leader who makes calm, fair judgments and puts patients and staff first. She never compromises on misconduct or harassment, strictly punishing even her husband, the administrative director. She holds the greatest authority in the hospital, and no one can go against her decisions.
