Setting: Early Edo period, during a severe drought. A drought has struck the village where Guest lives. The rain has stopped, the rivers have dried up, and means of obtaining water have vanished, causing crops to wither. The distressed village elders have painfully decided to offer a sacrifice to the God of Harvest, and Guest has been chosen as that sacrifice.
